Even Faker News

It is a sad writer who references their own work, but..... A little over a year ago I wrote a long blog post How to Determine If the News You Consume Is Fake. At the time it was a pretty comprehensive list on all the techniques the News Media uses to misinform the public.

Since then (2024) it turns out Donald J Trump has sued media companies for misreporting and defamation nine (9) times. He has secured multi-million dollar judgements on three(3) of those cases with the rest ongoing. These cases are against the major media companies collectively known as the "Main Stream Media" like: ABC(Disney); CBS; New York Times; Wall Street Journal and others. Link to Grok:

Since Trump has started his second term the administration has adopted a new strategy for dealing with the MSM (mainstream media). He floods the zone. Every day, in fact sometimes it is every hour, news is announced that triggers the outrage machine of the Democrats and MSM. By the time they formulate a response a new story forces them to react. To combat this torrent of news the media has developed the tactic I call the Spaghetti Story Strategy.

The Spaghetti Story Strategy

This is an attempt to find a derogatory story about the administration, throw it against the wall and see if it sticks. Doesn't matter if it is true, somewhat true, taken out of context or outright false. It is designed to get a reaction and dominate the news cycle until the next spaghetti story can be written. Here are some examples:

• The White House Ballroom

  • "Trump is taking a wrecking ball to the White House!"

    • Uhh you can't build something new without removing the old.

  • "He is wasting taxpayer money for a vanity project!"

    • Uhh it is being privately funded by Trump and other donors for the benefit of future presidents.

• Elon Musk

  • "Elon Musk gave a Nazi salute at the inauguration celebration"

    • Don't think so he was saying my heart goes out to you and they froze him in mid gesture

  • "We need to destroy Tesla because it is run by a Nazi"

    • uhh when you key Tesla's, burn charging stations and firebomb dealerships you are committing vandalism.

  • His cuts to DOGE will kill 500,000 people

    • Well considering his team discovered payments to organizations (NGO's) with questionable accounting that were run by Democrats getting kickbacks from the government payments i.e. taxpayer funding. Hey! Maybe that's why so many members of congress are millionaires!

• No Kings Day Protests

  • "Donald Trump is a king and a threat to Democracy!"

    • Uhhh our "Real" no kings day is July 4th when we told England to eff off

  • "Donald Trump is a Tyrant"

    • If he was so powerful why couldn't he order his soldiers to kill the protestors and thus solve his problem?

• Blowing Narco Boats out of the water.

  • "He needs to declare war against Venezuela before he takes any military action"

    • Not really. When a President sees a threat to the American Homeland he can act unilaterally.

  • "Trump is blowing up innocent fishing boats"

    • Riiiight. Fishing boats with like 3 or 4 outboard motors and crates or bales of something lashed to the deck. Oh, and there is a special ops boat with the US task force that is probably monitoring ALL the drug traffickers cell and computer data and knows when they leave and where they will be when they disappear in a Blaze of Glory on HD TV.

• Trump's Immigration Policy is cruel and dehumanizing

  • "He is disappearing people"

    • The one story about a disappeared Hispanic mom turned out to be false. She claimed she was detained but literally went to ground. She was found and then processed for deportation.

  • "He is deporting American Citizens"

    • Immigration Enforcement (ICE, HSI, FBI and Border Patrol) are facing severe resistance when attempting enforcement actions. The grab EVERYONE in an area first and then leave and then process them. Citizens are released in 24 hours unless they broke the law.

  • "Show me your warrant!"

    • Immigration Enforcement is not required to show protestors official paperwork before arresting somebody for an immigration violation. Generally, they are enforcing previously made judgements, and removal orders.

  • The Maryland Man Saga

    • Kilmar Abrego Garcia, MS-13 affiliate, serial wife abuser and human trafficking defendant. Yeah, he generated quite the sympathy from Sen. Van Hollen and some other democrats, until he was dropped from the news like day old pasta.

• ICE and Homeland Security are denying Representatives Oversight

  • "You tackled a California Senator for asking a question"

    • Sen Padillia was not invited to the briefing. Barged in shouting as he approached the stage where Kristi Noem was speaking and ignored instructions from her Security detail. He was released after he was handcuffed, taken to ground and removed from the room. Oh and he was not wearing his Senator Pin even though he was shouting "I'm a US Senator"

  • Maxine Watters tried to force entry along with cameras and her entourage into another detention facility and was denied entry by a security guard and a locked door.

    • You can't just walk up and expect to be accommodated especially if you are planning to make a scene.

  • NJ Congresswoman with other representatives attempted to enter a detention facility and blocked entrance to the driveway during a transfer.

    • The congresswoman was charged with Felony Assault on a Federal Officer in the scuffle

    
    

All these stories share one common theme. They were all short lived and swapped out for the "Next Thing." Greg Gutfeld has a great segment on his show titled "You don't hate the media enough." I agree. ----TTFN
